The Porsche 991.2 GT3 R (2019-2023) represents the updated version of the 991 GT3 R for international GT3 competition. The 991.2 GT3 R features a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six producing approximately 550 horsepower according to GT3 Balance of Performance regulations. Power is delivered through a 6-speed sequential racing gearbox with pneumatic paddle shifters to the rear wheels. The 991.2 update introduced improved aerodynamics, updated electronics, revised suspension geometry, and enhanced cooling systems compared to the 991.1 GT3 R. Racing features include full aluminum tubular space frame with integrated roll cage, carbon fiber body panels, advanced aerodynamics with adjustable rear wing, racing suspension, six-piston brake calipers, center-lock magnesium wheels, and FIA safety equipment. Weighing approximately 2,745 pounds per GT3 BoP, the 991.2 GT3 R has achieved victories in FIA GT World Challenge, IMSA GTD, and numerous championships globally.
