Autódromo Potenza Eireli Notes

Autódromo Potenza Eireli, located in Lima Duarte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, is a relatively new motorsport facility inaugurated in 2019. The circuit was designed by renowned Brazilian track architect Hermann Tilke, aiming to provide a challenging and modern racing experience. Although young, it has quickly become a prominent venue for various national racing series.

The track layout is a 3.2 kilometer (2.0 mile) clockwise configuration featuring a mix of high-speed straights and technical corners. The design incorporates significant elevation changes, adding to the complexity and excitement for drivers. The main straight provides ample overtaking opportunities, leading into a tight first corner that demands precision braking. Subsequent corners include flowing S-curves and hairpin turns, testing a driver's car control and strategic thinking. The circuit is known for its smooth asphalt surface and well-maintained runoff areas, enhancing safety for competitors.

Technically, Autódromo Potenza is homologated to FIA Grade 3 standards. It boasts modern pit facilities, including 30 pit boxes, a race control tower with advanced monitoring systems, and medical facilities. The circuit can accommodate a substantial number of spectators, with grandstands offering excellent views of the key sections of the track. The surrounding landscape, characterized by rolling hills and lush greenery, adds to the visual appeal of the venue.

Autódromo Potenza primarily hosts national-level racing events, including the Brazilian Stock Car Light series, Formula Delta, and various touring car championships. It is also a popular venue for track days and driver training programs. What makes Potenza unique is its commitment to showcasing Brazilian motorsport talent and its integration of modern design principles with the natural beauty of the Minas Gerais region. Its challenging layout and high safety standards make it a favorite among drivers and fans alike, solidifying its place as a rising star in the Brazilian motorsport landscape.
