Questa versione è un progetto di Tom Peters, in produzione dal 2019 presso lo stabilimento di assemblaggio di Bowling Green, Kentucky, Stati Uniti. Monta un motore V8 aspirato da 6.2L, erogante 490 HP a 6450 giri/min e 465 lb-ft di coppia a 5150 giri/min. Questo potente propulsore consente uno scatto da 0 a 60 MPH in soli 2,9 secondi, raggiungendo una velocità massima di 184 MPH. La Corvette C8 Stingray Z51 adotta una configurazione a due porte con motore centrale e trazione posteriore, abbinata a un cambio automatico a doppia frizione a 8 rapporti. Un miglioramento specifico del pacchetto Z51 è il terzo radiatore, aggiunto per fornire un raffreddamento supplementare al motore e all’olio del cambio.
Con il pacchetto prestazioni Z51, la Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray ha un prezzo superiore agli 85.000 dollari. Questo pacchetto include un sistema di sospensioni tarato per le prestazioni, gestione della trazione performance, differenziale elettronico a slittamento limitato e cerchi in lega da 19 pollici con pneumatici Michelin Pilot Sport 245/35 ZR19 anteriormente e 305/30 ZR20 al posteriore.
