The Lexus IS F, produced from 2008 to 2014, is the high-performance variant of the Lexus IS sedan and marks Lexus's first venture into the performance sedan market under its "F" marque. It features a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 416 horsepower and 371 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic transmission. The IS F accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 170 mph.
Its aggressive styling includes a lowered stance, quad exhaust tips, and larger air intakes, distinguishing it from the standard IS models. Performance upgrades include a stiffer suspension, Brembo brakes, and a limited-slip differential (introduced in 2010) for improved handling. The interior combines luxury and sportiness with leather seats, carbon-fiber trim, and F-specific instrumentation.
The IS F is celebrated for blending Lexus's hallmark reliability and luxury with the exhilarating performance of a high-revving V8 and sharp handling, making it a unique offering in the sports sedan segment.
