Circuit Mas du Clos Notes

Circuit du Mas du Clos is a historic motorsport facility located in Mas du Clos, Saint-Avit-de-Tardes, France, in the Creuse department at an altitude of 690 meters. The circuit was founded in 1963 by Pierre Bardinon, one of the most famous Ferrari collectors in the world. After a period of closure, it reopened in 2022 following refurbishment and is now operated by Alexandre Bardinon, grandson of its founder.

The circuit measures 3,071.80 meters (approximately 3.1 kilometers or 1.9 miles) in length and features 11 corners running in a clockwise direction. The track width varies from a minimum of 9 meters to a maximum of 14 meters, with an asphalt surface. The layout is characterized as a magnificent roller coaster ride with dramatic elevation changes, including a notable 17-degree climb in the first corner, combined with two long straights and a tight, winding section. The circuit features large elevation changes and swooping curves that create an exhilarating and challenging driving experience. Circuit Mas du Clos holds a unique place in French motorsport history due to its connection to the Bardinon family's legendary Ferrari collection and its distinctive mountainous terrain layout.
