2015: First model year for the C7 Z06, featuring the all-new LT4 supercharged 6.2L V8 producing 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Z07 Performance Package introduced as an $8,995 option including Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, revised FE7 suspension tuning, and aggressive aerodynamic components. Coupe started at $78,995, convertible at $83,995. Known issue: Undersized heat exchangers and radiators led to power reduction (limp mode) during extended track sessions or hot weather performance driving. GM later extended warranty coverage for cooling system components to 7 years/72,000 miles in response to owner complaints and class-action lawsuit.
2016: Added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity features. New color options introduced: Corvette Racing Yellow Tintcoat and expanded Black Suede Design Package availability.
