ICAR Mirabel - Motorsports Complex Примечания

The International Center of Advanced Racing, commonly called ICAR Mirabel Motorsports Complex, sits in what used to be the runway of the Montreal-Mirabel International Airport in Mirabel, Canada. The complex consists of a 2.13-mile (3.42-km) road course, a 0.4-mile (0.64-km) NASCAR oval track, a karting track designed by the 1997 Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve, a quarter-mile drag strip, and an off-road course. Several series of NASCAR, the Canadian Touring Car Championship, the Canadian Superbike Championship, and many North American and local racing club events are held regularly in the ICAR Motorsports Complex. Not even the freezing Canadian winters can stop the Motorsports action at ICAR, as several racing schools offer winter defensive driving training during the season.

The ICAR Mirabel road course has 15 turns in total, some of them with super tight angles such as number three, number seven, or number 14, all of them near 180 degrees. The track has a concrete surface, ample runoffs, and lots of open space all around that minimize the consequences of possible accidents. The average speed in the road course is 71 mph (114 km/h) with an average lap time of 1:47.5.
