The track has been a significant venue in American motorsports, hosting numerous NASCAR events, including the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Craftsman Truck Series. After a hiatus, NASCAR announced the return of the Xfinity and Truck Series to Rockingham in April 2025, marking a revival of its storied racing legacy.
