The Ford Focus ST Mk3 is a four-door/front-engine/front-wheel drive hatchback, the third generation of Ford Focus, designed by Allan Mulally and assembled at Ford's Saarlouis assembly facility in Germany. The prototype was unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. This modern compact runs with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine that produces a maximum output power of 252 Hp and 366 Nm of torque, with a 6-speed manual transmission. Its top speed is 154 Mph, and it accelerates from 0-62 Mph in 6.5 seconds, with combined fuel consumption of 7.2L/100 Km. It has a more aggressive exterior design featuring a redesigned front bumper, front grille, and a larger rear wing that enhances its aerodynamic profile.

ANMERKUNGEN ZUM JAHR

2013: The third-generation Focus ST was introduced with a 2.0L turbocharged EcoBoost inline-four engine producing 252 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. This model was available with a 6-speed manual transmission and featured sport-tuned suspension, larger brakes, and an electronic torque vectoring system to improve handling. The exterior had an aggressive front bumper, a rear spoiler, and unique 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior featured Recaro sport seats, ST-specific gauges, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
2014: Ford introduced minor updates, including additional color options and improved interior materials. The MyFord Touch infotainment system received a software update for better functionality, but no major mechanical changes were made.
2015: The Focus ST received a mid-cycle refresh with revised front and rear bumpers, slimmer headlights, and an updated grille for a sharper look. Interior updates included a redesigned center console with improved controls and better ergonomics. Ford made improvements to the suspension tuning for enhanced handling and ride comfort. The infotainment system was also updated to the latest version of MyFord Touch, with a clearer display and improved responsiveness.
2016: Ford added the SYNC 3 infotainment system as standard, replacing MyFord Touch, with faster response times, a more intuitive interface, and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The drivetrain and suspension remained the same, keeping the car’s performance consistent.
2017: Ford made only minor updates, primarily focusing on safety features and driver-assist options. New packages were offered, including the ST2 and ST3 packages, which included upgraded Recaro seats, a premium audio system, and advanced driver assistance features.
2018: The final model year for the Mk3 Focus ST saw no significant changes as Ford prepared to discontinue the Focus ST in North America. Production continued in other markets with the same engine and setup.
