The Porsche 997.2 Carrera S is an iconic two-door rear-engine rear-wheel-drive sports car designed by Grant Larson and assembled in Stuttgart, Germany, from 2009 to 2013. The renewed version of the Carrera S line, dubbed the "Greatest Sportscar Ever" by many experts and motor enthusiasts, includes a revised front bumper with better air intakes and enlarged exterior mirrors with a redesigned Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE). The Carrera S comes with a 7-speed PDK transmission, capable of taking this car to a top speed of 187 Mph, with a 0-60 Mph acceleration time of only 4.3 seconds flat. This roadster runs with a 3.8L flat-6 engine delivering a maximum power of 385 Bhp at 6500 Rpm and 310 Lb-ft at 440 Rpm of torque.
Although this Porsche 997.2 Carrera S is not a Supercar per se, it does not come short of the performance, drivability, and power any motor enthusiast would love to get. Its suspension system was revised and improved, along with the headlamps that got LED daytime running lights. This Porsche incorporates Michelin Pilot Sport 4 235/35R19 tires on the front and 295/30R19 on the rear to hit the pavements, supported by a ventilated discs brake system on all 4-wheels. Overall, this German all-arounder ticks each one of the boxes to be considered a classic. The price of this sporting car stands at 48,000 dollars on the market today, which is not surprising when you look at the extensive technical improvements it brought and the legion of loyal fans wanting to get one of these beauties.
