Area 27
Area 27 CCW is 4.7 km, 16 turns, counter-clockwise. Fastest recorded lap: 1:54.377 (Stohr WF1).
The Area 27 Motorsports Park is a private racetrack located in the picturesque town of Oliver, British Columbia, a summer destination home to several wineries and renowned for being Canada’s wine capital. Its design phase was led by Formula 1 champion Jacques Villeneuve with one thing in mind: to spike the drivers’ adrenaline by allowing them to take risks and have fun in a secure environment.
It consists of two separate tracks, the Main Circuit and a Kart Circuit. The Main Circuit takes advantage of the natural elevation changes in the terrain, extending for 3 miles (4.83 kilometers), with a track width of 40 feet (12.2 meters) in the whole trajectory. It features 16 corners and several straight runs, the longest being 0.5 miles (800 meters) long between corners 1 and 2. The Average Speed of this track is 118 kph, with an average lap time of 2:26.972. The smaller Kart circuit features 20 corners, stretching for 0.71 miles (1.21 kilometers). Both of the circuits are well balanced, providing straight runs long enough to develop high speeds as well as challenging, strategically located corners that defy the drivers' capabilities and force them to exert close control of their vehicles.
Area 27 averages 30°C highs in July and -4°C lows in December, with moderate rainfall. The driest, most reliable track-day weather runs April–October.
