スバルインプレッサWRX STI第3世代（GR/GVシャーシ、2008-2014）は、スバルのラリー生まれのパフォーマンスセダンの大幅な進化を表し、6,000 rpmで305馬力、4,000 rpmで290 lb-ftのトルクを生成するEJ257 2.5リッターターボチャージャー付きフラット4エンジンを搭載しています。パワーは、前後トルク分割のドライバー調整を可能にするドライバー制御センターディファレンシャル（DCCD）付きスバルの伝説的なシンメトリカル全輪駆動システムに、クロスレシオ6速マニュアルトランスミッションを通じて伝達され、さらに前、中央、後部に機械式リミテッドスリップディファレンシャルが追加されています。
