Der Porsche Cayman S 987 v2 ist ein zweitüriges Softtop-Sport-Coupé, die zweite Generation des berühmten Porsche Cayman, hergestellt von 2009 bis 2012 in Stuttgart, Deutschland. Vorgestellt 2008 auf dem Genfer Automobilsalon, war der bedeutende Durchbruch dieses Modells die Einführung des neuen PDK (Porsche Doppel Kupplungs) 6-Gang-Schaltgetriebes, das kam, um das traditionelle Trip tonic-Halbautomatikgetriebe früherer Modelle zu ersetzen. Dieser Roadster umfasst einen 3,4-Liter-DFI-Boxermotor, der 320 PS und 273 lb-ft Drehmoment produziert und ihn in 5,2 Sekunden von 0-62 mph bringt und eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 172 mph erreicht. Der Cayman hat eine Achslastverteilung von ungefähr 45:55, um Stabilität und Straßenverhalten zu gewährleisten.
Der Porsche Cayman S 987 v2 kommt in einem Frontmotor-RWD-Layout mit einem leichteren und kompakteren Design. An der Außenseite ist die neu gestaltete Front mit LED-Tagfahrlichtern eines der ikonischen Features, die überall Köpfe drehen, wo Sie hingehen. Das Auto umfasst das Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Sport Chrono-Paket, belüftetes Scheibenbremssystem mit ABS, elektronische Stabilitätskontrolle und Wegfahrsperre. Die Michelin Pilot Sport PS2-Reifen kommen ab Werk auf 18-Zoll-911-Turbo-Leichtmetallrädern, mit 235/35 R18 vorne und 265/40 R18 hinten.
