The Chevrolet Camaro6 SS, introduced in 2016 as part of the sixth-generation Camaro lineup, is a high-performance muscle car that combines aggressive styling with impressive power and advanced technology. Powered by a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine, it delivers 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission with rev-matching or an optional 8-speed (later 10-speed) automatic transmission.
The Camaro6 SS features a lightweight platform derived from the Alpha chassis, improving agility and handling over its predecessor. Performance enhancements include Brembo brakes, a performance-tuned suspension, and optional Magnetic Ride Control for precise damping. The car achieves a 0-60 mph time of approximately 4 seconds with the automatic transmission.
Inside, the Camaro6 SS offers a driver-focused cockpit with modern technology, including a configurable digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen with Chevrolet's Infotainment system, and available head-up display. The design emphasizes a sporty feel with premium materials, optional leather seating, and SS-specific badging.
