Kaeng Krachan Circuit Notes

The Kaeng Krachan Circuit is a racing facility constructed on a narrow valley in 2010 according to designs by Thai racers Somchai Srijirarat and Ekprawat Petcharak in the middle of the Phetchaburi rain forest in Thailand. The 1.8-mile (2.89-km) road course has 26 corners on a trajectory snaking through a north-south orientation. The most remarkable features of the racetrack are its frequent elevation changes which combine with the curvy layout and the vegetation around the road, creating a challenging path where front visibility is limited to a couple of meters. The tropical rainforest where the circuit stands receive copious amounts of rainfall throughout the year, but atmospheric conditions are can change even on the same day.

The Kaeng Krachan Circuit has several configurations available for local, national, and international competitions. The trajectory of the raceway adapts to the contours of the lands, taking advantage of the surrounding hills to provide excellent visibility for spectators attending races. The racetrack includes sweeping curves, straight segments, tight-angle turns, steep downhill dives, and many other features that make it super hard to master. The Kaeng Krachan Circuit is a pleasure to drive and will continue growing in popularity over the years to come.
