La BMW M2 G87, introdotta nel 2023, è la seconda generazione della M2 e una coupé compatta ad alte prestazioni pensata per gli appassionati di guida. Combina un motore potente, una trazione posteriore e uno stile aggressivo, rendendola uno dei modelli M di BMW più orientati al guidatore.
Sotto il cofano, la M2 G87 monta il motore S58 a sei cilindri in linea da 3.0 litri con doppio turbocompressore, lo stesso impiegato su M3 e M4. Eroga 453 cavalli e 406 lb-ft di coppia, offrendo un’accelerazione vigorosa e una erogazione di potenza fluida. La M2 G87 è disponibile con un cambio manuale a 6 marce per un’esperienza di guida più coinvolgente oppure con un automatico a 8 rapporti per cambi marcia più rapidi e comodità. Lo 0-60 mph si attesta intorno ai 4,1 secondi con il manuale e risulta leggermente più rapido con l’automatico.
La M2 G87 è dotata della sospensione adattiva M e di un differenziale attivo M, entrambi tarati specificamente per questo modello al fine di migliorare la tenuta di strada, la trazione e la stabilità durante una guida sportiva. L’impianto frenante è supportato da freni M compound maggiorati per garantire una potenza di arresto precisa.
Il design esterno della G87 è più muscoloso e aggressivo rispetto alla generazione precedente, con passaruota più larghi, una griglia frontale audace, grandi prese d’aria e terminali di scarico quadrupli. L’abitacolo include elementi specifici M come i sedili sportivi in carbonio opzionali, un volante orientato alla guida sportiva e il più recente sistema di infotainment iDrive 8 di BMW con display digitale curvo.
La BMW M2 G87 unisce alte prestazioni a un utilizzo quotidiano, rendendola una scelta versatile per gli appassionati che desiderano sia capacità in pista sia un’auto da godersi ogni giorno.
