O Porsche Cayman S 987 v2 é um coupé esportivo conversível de duas portas, a segunda geração do famoso Porsche Cayman, fabricado de 2009 a 2012 em Stuttgart, Alemanha. Apresentado em 2008 no Salão do Automóvel de Genebra, o grande avanço deste modelo foi a introdução da nova transmissão manual PDK (Porsche Doppel Kupplungs) de 6 velocidades, que substituiu a tradicional transmissão semiautomática triptonic dos modelos anteriores. Este roadster conta com um motor boxer de seis cilindros DFI 3.4L que produz 320 hp e 273 lb-ft de torque, acelerando de 0 a 62 mph em 5,2 segundos e atingindo uma velocidade máxima de 172 mph. O Cayman possui uma distribuição de carga nos eixos de aproximadamente 45:55 para garantir estabilidade e comportamento dinâmico.
O Porsche Cayman S 987 v2 apresenta um layout com motor dianteiro e tração traseira, com um design mais leve e compacto. No exterior, a dianteira redesenhada com luzes diurnas em LED é uma das características icônicas que chamam atenção por onde passa. O carro inclui o Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), pacote Sport Chrono, sistema de freios com discos ventilados e ABS, controle eletrônico de estabilidade e imobilizador. Os pneus Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 vêm de fábrica montados em rodas de liga leve 911 turbo de 18 polegadas, com medidas 235/35 R18 na dianteira e 265/40 R18 na traseira.
