The Porsche 992.1 GT3 RS is a high-performance, track-focused variant of the 911 GT3, introduced in 2022 as part of the 992 generation. It features a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine that produces 518 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque, with a redline of 9,000 rpm. This engine is paired exclusively with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission for rapid shifts, allowing the GT3 RS to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 3 seconds.
The 992.1 GT3 RS is heavily optimized for aerodynamics and downforce, incorporating an advanced active aerodynamics system that includes a large, adjustable rear wing with DRS (drag reduction system) similar to Formula 1 technology. The car’s wide body, prominent front fender vents, front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser maximize stability and grip at high speeds. The GT3 RS generates up to 1,895 pounds of downforce at its top speed, setting a new standard in aerodynamic efficiency for Porsche's road cars.
Inside, the GT3 RS offers a driver-centric cabin with lightweight materials such as carbon fiber and Alcantara. The instrument cluster includes a track-focused digital display mode, while available options like bucket seats and the Clubsport Package (adding a roll cage and racing harness) enhance its track-ready credentials. The suspension has been extensively revised with adjustable dampers and a double-wishbone front axle, allowing precise handling and stability.
The Porsche 992.1 GT3 RS is celebrated for pushing the boundaries of road-legal track performance, combining Porsche’s latest racing technology with powerful, naturally aspirated performance for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
