Lihpao International Circuit - 單圈紀錄 Notes

The Lihpao International Circuit, also known as Lihpao Racing Park, is a 2.17-mile (1.34-km), 23-turn race track developed as the newest attraction of the Lihpao Discovery Land, Taiwan's biggest resort complex. The raceway started operations in 2018 in the coastal city of Taichung, on a two-hour road trip south of Taipei, Taiwan. The Lihpao International Park features a top-notch infrastructure for racing teams and spectators, and its investors hope to attract high-profile motorsports competitions into the island soon. The tropical heat and high humidity of Taichung during the summer might be a concern, but the winds coming from the sea tend to cool down the circuit.

Races at Lihpao International Circuit start/finish in front of the main grandstands, right in the middle of the longest straightaway. The initial corners offer several overtaking opportunities at about 100 km/h (62 mph) for racers willing to take the risk. Turns five to eleven are fast-paced and ideal for passing opponents on the straight. Once racers pass turn eleven, the most challenging sector of the track starts, going downhill at 100 km/h (62 mph). The dive is so steep in corners 14, 15, and 16 that racers feel the G-forces acting hard on their stomachs as if they were riding on a rollercoaster. The Lihpao raceway average speed is 69 mph (111 km/h), but it feels much faster when you are behind the wheel.
