M4 GT4 G82

Notes

The BMW M4 GT4 G82 represents the second-generation M4 GT4 customer racing car based on the current G82 M4 platform, developed by BMW M Motorsport for global GT4 competition replacing the successful F82-based M4 GT4. The G82 GT4 features BMW's S58 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine producing approximately 550 horsepower in race specification, paired with an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission adapted for racing use with paddle shifters and racing software calibration. The S58 engine provides broader torque curve and improved drivability compared to the previous S55 engine.

The M4 GT4 G82 includes comprehensive racing modifications: FIA-certified roll cage meeting latest safety standards, carbon fiber bodywork panels, adjustable aerodynamics including front splitter and large adjustable rear wing, coilover racing suspension with adjustable dampers optimized for GT4 competition, mechanical limited-slip differential, racing brake system with ABS and enhanced cooling, center-lock wheels, and sophisticated data acquisition. Weighing approximately 3,174 pounds per GT4 minimum weight with ballast positioning optimized for handling balance, the car achieves competitive lap times across diverse circuit configurations. The G82 generation incorporates lessons learned from the highly successful F82 M4 GT4 program with improved aerodynamics, enhanced cooling systems, and refined ergonomics. BMW M Motorsport provides comprehensive customer racing support including technical assistance, spare parts programs, setup data, and driver coaching. The M4 GT4 G82 offers teams and drivers the latest BMW M engineering with proven S58 powerplant, strong manufacturer backing, and competitive performance in one of the world's most popular customer racing categories, continuing BMW M's successful GT4 program with modern technology and improved performance.
