El Porsche 991.2 Carrera S define un superdeportivo para el día a día con una configuración de dos puertas/motor central trasero/tracción trasera presentada en el Salón del Automóvil de Frankfurt 2015. Este elegante roadster alemán es un diseño de Ferdinand Butzi ensamblado en Stuttgart, Alemania, entre 2016 y 2019. Esta versión renovada del Carrera cuenta con un motor bóxer biturbo de 3.0L con intercooler que entrega 420HP de potencia máxima y 500Nm de torque. El Carrera S viene con una transmisión manual de 7 velocidades, capaz de acelerar de 0 a 62 mph en 4.3 segundos y alcanzar una velocidad máxima de 192.38 mph. Un nuevo diseño con parachoques, faros delanteros y traseros actualizados renovó el modelo básico del 911. Esta versión también es la primera en incluir un motor turboalimentado.
El Porsche 991.2 Carrera S es una versión más potente, diseñada para satisfacer las necesidades de cualquier amante de la velocidad con un aspecto clásico y un rendimiento de primer nivel. Cuenta con llantas de 20 pulgadas calzadas con neumáticos Pirelli P-Zero 245/35/ZR20 en el eje delantero y 305/30/ZR20 en el trasero. También incorpora suspensión independiente McPherson con multi-link y un sistema de frenos con discos ventilados y ABS como equipamiento estándar. Tiene un consumo combinado de combustible de 8.7L/100Km y un peso en vacío de 3174 lbs, con una relación peso-potencia de 3.4 Kg/HP.
