Notes

The Mercedes-AMG GT3 is a purpose-built GT3 racing car developed by Mercedes-AMG Motorsport for international GT3 competition including FIA GT World Challenge, IMSA GTD class, 24 Hours of Nürburgring, and numerous national championships worldwide. Based on the Mercedes-AMG GT road car platform, the GT3 racer features a dry-sump 6.3-liter M159 naturally aspirated V8 engine (later models use the M177/178 twin-turbo V8 de-tuned and air-restricted per GT3 regulations) producing approximately 550 horsepower. Power is delivered through a Hewland six-speed sequential gearbox with pneumatic paddle shifters to the rear wheels.

The GT3 features comprehensive racing modifications including full aluminum spaceframe chassis with integrated roll cage, carbon fiber body panels, advanced aerodynamics with adjustable rear wing and front splitter generating significant downforce, racing-specification suspension with adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars, six-piston racing brake calipers, center-lock magnesium wheels, and FIA-spec safety equipment including fuel cell and fire suppression. Electronic systems include GT3-spec ABS, traction control with multiple settings, and comprehensive data acquisition. Weighing approximately 2,850 pounds (1,293 kg) per GT3 Balance of Performance regulations, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 has achieved numerous victories and championships globally since its 2016 introduction, earning a reputation for reliability, driver-friendly handling, and strong performance across diverse track configurations. Mercedes-AMG provides comprehensive customer racing support including technical assistance, spare parts programs, and driver coaching, making the GT3 popular among professional teams and gentleman drivers competing at the highest levels of GT racing.
