991.1 GT3 Cup

The Porsche 991.1 GT3 Cup is a race-only version of the 911 developed for Porsche's one-make championships, produced from 2013 to 2016. This first-generation 991 Cup car features a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine with direct injection producing 460 horsepower (338 kW) at 7,500 rpm and revving to 8,500 rpm, representing a 10 horsepower increase over its 997-generation predecessor. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a paddle-shifted six-speed dog-type gearbox developed by Porsche Motorsport, marking the first time paddle shifters were used in a Porsche brand trophy race car, paired with a mechanical limited-slip differential.

The 991.1 GT3 Cup weighs approximately 1,200 kg (2,590 pounds) dry, achieved through extensive use of lightweight materials and a stripped competition interior with full roll cage and racing safety equipment. A significant technical advancement was the 100mm wheelbase extension compared to the road car, with completely redesigned front and rear axle geometry for optimized track performance. Produced exclusively in white on the same Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen assembly line as road-legal 911 models before receiving final racing setup at the Weissach Motorsport Centre, the 991.1 GT3 Cup was priced at 181,200 Euro plus VAT. It competed in Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and numerous Carrera Cup series worldwide, establishing Porsche's continued dominance in professional one-make racing.
