Liverpool Motor Club-Aintree Circuit
Liverpool Motor Club-Aintree Circuit Club CW 2.5 km, 4 virages, sens des aiguilles d'une montre. Tour le plus rapide enregistré : 44.100 (Radical PR6 Mk1).
The short version of the Aintree Circuit used by Liverpool Motor Club races and events is a 1.37-mile (2.2-km) raceway with only four turns, where high-performance vehicles race at an average speed of 89 mph (143 km/h). This layout uses the eastern part of the Aintree Motor Racing Circuit, famous for hosting several Formula 1 races in the fifties. The whole circuit runs inside the Aintree Racecourse, using the same grandstands as the horse racing competitions. The track surface tends to be wet year-round, given the continental climate of Liverpool, with cold winters and mild summers.
The races on this configuration start/finish right before the first corner, the 90-degree Country Corner. The second corner is a 60-degree Village Corner, followed by the heavy acceleration sector at Valentine's Way. Becher's Bend is a wide sweeper that allows racers to keep the momentum and develop faster speed on Railway Straight, where they get to 125 mph (201 km/h). The Liverpool Motor Club road course takes the tight Club Corner instead of continuing through Melling Crossing, closing the circuit earlier in an average lap time of 0:56.7.
