El BMW M2 G87, presentado en 2023, es la segunda generación del M2 y un coupé compacto de alto rendimiento diseñado para entusiastas de la conducción. Combina un motor potente, tracción trasera y un diseño agresivo, convirtiéndolo en uno de los modelos M de BMW más enfocados en el conductor.
Bajo el capó, el M2 G87 está impulsado por el motor S58 de seis cilindros en línea, 3.0 litros y doble turbo, el mismo que utilizan el M3 y el M4. Desarrolla 453 caballos de fuerza y 406 lb-ft de torque, ofreciendo una aceleración robusta y una entrega de potencia contundente. El M2 G87 ofrece la opción de una transmisión manual de 6 velocidades para una experiencia más envolvente o una automática de 8 velocidades para cambios más rápidos y comodidad. El tiempo de 0 a 60 mph es de alrededor de 4.1 segundos con la manual y ligeramente más rápido con la automática.
El M2 G87 cuenta con la suspensión adaptativa M de BMW y un diferencial activo M, ambos ajustados específicamente para este modelo para mejorar el manejo, la adherencia y la estabilidad durante una conducción dinámica. El frenado está respaldado por frenos M compound de mayor tamaño para garantizar una potencia de frenado precisa.
El diseño exterior del G87 es más musculoso y agresivo en comparación con la generación anterior, con pasos de rueda más anchos, una parrilla frontal imponente, grandes tomas de aire y salidas de escape cuádruples. El interior incluye elementos específicos M como los opcionales asientos tipo bucket de carbono M, un volante orientado al deporte y el sistema de infoentretenimiento iDrive 8 de BMW con pantalla digital curva.
El BMW M2 G87 combina alto rendimiento con usabilidad diaria, convirtiéndolo en una opción versátil para entusiastas que buscan tanto capacidades en pista como un coche para disfrutar a diario.
