The BMW M2 G87, introduced in 2023, is the second-generation M2 and a high-performance compact coupe designed for driving enthusiasts. It combines a powerful engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, and aggressive styling, making it one of BMW’s most driver-focused M models.
Under the hood, the M2 G87 is powered by the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged S58 inline-six engine, the same engine used in the M3 and M4. It produces 453 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, offering robust acceleration and power delivery. The M2 G87 comes with a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission for a more engaging experience or an 8-speed automatic transmission for faster shifts and convenience.
