2022: The Mk2 BRZ debuted with a 2.4L naturally aspirated flat-four engine producing 228 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, a significant upgrade from the previous generation. It featured a new platform with increased rigidity, improved handling, and a choice between a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The exterior was redesigned with a wider grille, LED headlights, and sportier lines, while the interior offered an 8-inch touchscreen, digital gauge cluster, and enhanced materials. This model retained the BRZ’s driver-focused layout, with refined handling and a low center of gravity.
2023: Subaru introduced the limited BRZ tS model, featuring upgrades like Brembo brakes, Sachs dampers, and unique 18-inch wheels for enhanced performance. The tS model also included a unique color option and special badging, giving it a distinct look and feel. Other than the tS, the core BRZ continued with minor software updates to the infotainment system and new safety features on automatic models, such as Subaru's EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.
