2018: The Model 3 Performance was launched, featuring dual-motor all-wheel drive, a performance-focused suspension, upgraded brakes, a top speed of 155 mph, and a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds. It came standard with 20-inch performance wheels, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, and a Track Mode feature allowing drivers to adjust power distribution and regenerative braking for track use. It also included a lowered suspension for better handling.
2019: Tesla introduced software updates to improve Track Mode, adding more in-depth customization and telemetry tracking. The 0-60 mph time improved slightly to around 3.2 seconds due to software optimizations. Tesla also added Autopilot as a standard feature across all Model 3 trims, including the Performance version, enhancing driver assistance capabilities.
2020: The Model 3 Performance received a minor facelift with revised exterior trim, replacing the chrome accents with a "chrome delete" matte black finish for a more modern look. Inside, Tesla updated the center console with a wireless charging pad and USB-C ports. Range increased slightly due to battery efficiency improvements, with the EPA-estimated range reaching around 310 miles on a full charge.
