The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport is a race-focused version of the 718 Cayman, designed specifically for competitive track use. Equipped with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine from the 911 GT3, it produces 500 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. This high-revving engine and quick-shifting gearbox deliver seamless power, allowing the GT4 RS Clubsport to accelerate rapidly and maintain optimal performance lap after lap. Additionally, it features a lightweight construction with extensive use of composite materials, providing a balance between durability and weight savings essential for racing.
Beyond power, the GT4 RS Clubsport is enhanced with a host of track-focused components, including an FIA-compliant roll cage, adjustable suspension, and a large rear wing for added downforce. 2022: The GT4 RS Clubsport was introduced with a 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine derived from the 911 GT3 Cup car, producing 493 hp, a 75 hp increase over the previous GT4 Clubsport model. It features a 7-speed PDK transmission with shorter ratios for quicker acceleration. The car’s chassis includes adjustable shock absorbers, anti-roll bars, and multiple spring rates for tailored handling. Aerodynamics were enhanced with flics, air curtains, wheel arch ventilation, and an adjustable rear wing. Porsche used natural fiber composites in various components to promote sustainability in motorsport.
