Der Nissan 370Z Nismo repräsentiert den Höhepunkt der Z-Wagen-Leistung und debütierte 2009 auf der New York Auto Show als streckenfokussierte Evolution des Standard-370Z. Angetrieben vom bewährten 3,7-Liter-V6-Motor VQ37VHR mit 350 PS und 276 lb-ft Drehmoment zeichnet sich die Nismo-Variante durch umfassende aerodynamische Verbesserungen, sportlich abgestimmtes Fahrwerk und aggressives Styling aus, das Nissans Renngeschichte würdigt.
Leistungsmäßig erreicht der 370Z Nismo 0-60 mph in 5,4 Sekunden und eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 179 mph. Das 6-Gang-Schaltgetriebe bietet direktes Engagement mit der Hinterradantriebsplattform, während Recaro-Sportsitze und ein von Nismo abgestimmtes Auspuffsystem sowohl die Fahrerbindung als auch das akustische Feedback verbessern. Das Aerodynamikpaket umfasst einen funktionalen vorderen Kinnenspoiler, Heckflügel und Seitenschweller, die bei Streckentempo bedeutenden Abtrieb erzeugen.
Während seiner Produktionszeit von 2009 bis 2020 erhielt der 370Z Nismo mehrere Updates. Das Modelljahr 2014 brachte eine bedeutende Auffrischung mit aggressiverer Karosserie und verbesserter Kühlung. 2015 führte verfeinerte Ästhetik mit LED-Tagfahrlichtern und aktualisierten Stoßfängern ein. Bis 2017 fügte Nissan neue Farboptionen und ein optionales 7-Gang-Automatikgetriebe hinzu, um die Anziehungskraft zu erweitern. Der 370Z Nismo blieb bis 2020 in Produktion und repräsentierte die finale Evolution der Z34-Plattform vor der Ankunft des brandneuen Z.
