La Subaru BRZ Mk2 est la deuxième génération du coupé sportif à propulsion arrière populaire de Subaru, lancée en 2022. Développée en collaboration avec Toyota, la Mk2 BRZ partage sa plateforme avec la Toyota GR86 tout en conservant les particularités techniques propres à Subaru. La nouvelle BRZ est animée par un moteur boxer atmosphérique 2,4L développant 228 hp et 184 lb-ft de couple — une nette amélioration par rapport au moteur 2,0L de la génération précédente, répondant ainsi aux critiques concernant le manque de couple à bas régime.
La BRZ Mk2 dispose d’un châssis léger et rigide avec un centre de gravité bas, grâce au moteur boxer et à l’utilisation stratégique d’acier à haute résistance. La voiture est proposée avec une boîte manuelle 6 vitesses ou une automatique 6 vitesses. Sa suspension a été réglée pour offrir un équilibre et une réactivité optimaux, rendant la conduite particulièrement plaisante sur routes sinueuses et circuits. La nouvelle plateforme améliore également la dynamique de conduite et la stabilité, renforçant la réputation de la première génération pour son comportement vif et prévisible.
La BRZ Mk2 présente un extérieur redessiné avec une silhouette plus fluide et aérodynamique, incluant des phares LED, une calandre élargie et des lignes de carrosserie agressives. À l’intérieur, l’habitacle bénéficie de matériaux améliorés, d’un combiné d’instruments numérique, d’un écran tactile infotainment de 8 pouces compatible Apple CarPlay et Android Auto, ainsi que de sièges sport enveloppants. Subaru a conservé une présentation minimaliste centrée sur le conducteur, améliorant le confort tout en limitant les distractions.
La Mk2 BRZ a été très bien accueillie pour sa puissance accrue, sa tenue de route améliorée et son ressenti classique de coupé sportif, offrant une expérience accessible et engageante pour les passionnés de conduite.
