The Tesla Model S Plaid is a futuristic electric sports car developed by Tesla in 2021, rapidly becoming one of the ultimate Tesla flagships. The four-door, all-wheel-drive, tri-motor setup is a design by Franz Von Holzhausen, mass-produced in Fremont, California. The Model S' revamped interior, suspension, thermal management, and new powertrain are some state-of-the-art additions this car brings to the table. It gets all of its power from three electric motors: two at the rear, and one on the front axle, generating a maximum horsepower of 1,020 HP and 1,423 Nm of torque, paired with a single-speed gearbox. The car offers a 520+ range at a 200 Mph top speed, accelerating from 0-60 Mph in 2 seconds flat. The Tesla Model S Plaid depicts a brilliant, revolutionary, high-end engineering marvel, running its way into the preferences of the most demanding user profiles. It includes a 100.0 kWh battery capacity, type 2, and supercharger ports, with a 7-hours from 0-100% (or 30 minutes with supercharger) total charging time. The Model S incorporates Michelin 295/30ZR21 tires, with forged alloy 21-inch ultralight wheels, supported by the adaptive air suspension system and performance brakes.

2021: Launch of Model S Plaid: Featured a tri-motor setup delivering 1,020 horsepower, enabling 0-60 mph acceleration in 1.99 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph. The interior was redesigned with a 17-inch touchscreen, yoke-style steering wheel, and improved materials.
2022: Enhanced Software Features: Introduction of Tesla Vision, utilizing camera-based systems for Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities, replacing radar sensors. Software updates improved infotainment responsiveness and added new features like Disney+ streaming.
2023: Steering Wheel Option: Tesla offered a traditional round steering wheel as an alternative to the yoke, providing customers with a choice based on preference. The CCS adapter became available in the U.S., enhancing charging flexibility.
2024: Interior and Exterior Updates: Introduction of new sports seats for the Plaid model, offering increased lateral support. Adaptive headlights were enabled on cars with matrix lights, improving nighttime visibility. The yoke steering wheel was updated to include a central horn, addressing user feedback.
