Notes

La Mazda Miata MX-5 ND a commencé sa production en 2015 dans l’usine d’assemblage Mazda de Hiroshima, au Japon. Appartenant à la quatrième génération, celle actuellement exposée, la Mazda MX-5 avait un prix de lancement de 35 000 $ lors de sa sortie. Ce roadster deux portes propose deux motorisations au choix. Le modèle de base est équipé d’un moteur 1,5 L en ligne DOHC développant 129 ch (131 PS), tandis qu’une option 2,0 L de 155 ch (157 PS) est disponible pour le marché nord-américain. La boîte de vitesses peut être une manuelle Skyactiv-MT à 6 rapports ou une automatique à 6 rapports, capable de propulser la voiture jusqu’à une vitesse maximale de 127 mph (204 km/h), avec un 0-60 mph en 6,5 secondes.

Cette finition Mazda Miata MX-5 ND est également appelée Mazda Roadster au Japon et se décline en deux versions : un cabriolet 2 portes ou un coupé 2 portes à toit rétractable fastback. Elle adopte une configuration moteur avant-milieu avec propulsion arrière, le tout dans une carrosserie pesant 2381 lbs. Elle est équipée de régulateur de vitesse et d’un limiteur de vitesse pour la sécurité. Le système de freinage comprend des disques ventilés avec ABS sur les quatre roues, une suspension avant indépendante à double triangulation avec ressorts hélicoïdaux, et une suspension arrière multi-bras, de série sur ce coupé. 2016: Launch of the ND-generation MX-5 Miata, featuring a 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G inline-four engine with 155 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. The ND Miata is lighter and smaller than the previous NC generation, with a focus on sharper handling and improved fuel efficiency. The model is offered in Sport, Club, and Grand Touring trims, all available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
2017: Introduction of the MX-5 RF (Retractable Fastback) model with a power-retractable targa-style roof, adding a new dimension to the Miata lineup for buyers seeking a partially enclosed cabin. The RF has the same engine and transmission options as the soft-top version but offers a quieter, more enclosed cabin experience.
2018: No significant changes, with Mazda focusing on maintaining the established performance and design. Minor adjustments to color options and available features were made.
2019: Engine updates boost the 2.0-liter engine's output to 181 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque, providing a more responsive driving experience. This update includes a higher redline (7,500 rpm), lighter pistons and connecting rods, and an improved exhaust. Enhanced safety features, such as a standard rearview camera, were added, and the infotainment system was updated.
2020: Mazda adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility to the infotainment system as standard on most trims. Some minor updates to color and trim options were made. The RF and soft-top versions remain in the lineup with similar powertrain and trim options.
2021: Introduction of the 100th Anniversary Special Edition, featuring unique badging, red leather upholstery, and special exterior paint. Mazda also introduced a limited-edition color, Deep Crystal Blue Mica, on some trims. Standard safety features such as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert were expanded across more trims.
2022: Addition of Mazda’s Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) system, designed to improve handling stability by applying slight braking to the inner rear wheel during cornering. This feature enhances the Miata's agile feel without altering its light, playful driving dynamics. Minor adjustments to available colors and trims.
2023: No major changes, with Mazda maintaining the ND Miata’s focus on lightness, agility, and driver engagement. Customization options continue to offer new color and trim choices for both the RF and soft-top versions.
