La Porsche 991.2 Carrera S incarne une supercar de tous les jours avec une configuration deux portes/moteur central arrière/propulsion, présentée au Salon de Francfort 2015. Ce roadster allemand au design signé Ferdinand Butzi est assemblé à Stuttgart, en Allemagne, de 2016 à 2019. Cette version restylée de la Carrera est équipée d’un moteur flat-six biturbo 3.0L avec intercooler délivrant 420 ch de puissance maximale et 500 Nm de couple. La Carrera S est dotée d’une boîte manuelle 7 rapports, capable d’emmener cette voiture de 0 à 62 mph en 4,3 secondes, avec une vitesse maximale de 192,38 mph. Un nouveau style avec des pare-chocs, phares et feux arrière actualisés modernise le modèle 911 de base. Cette version est également la première à intégrer un moteur turbo.
La Porsche 991.2 Carrera S est une version plus puissante, conçue pour satisfaire les amateurs de vitesse avec un look classique et des performances de premier ordre. Elle est équipée de jantes 20 pouces chaussées de pneus Pirelli P-Zero 245/35/ZR20 à l’avant et 305/30/ZR20 à l’arrière. Une suspension indépendante McPherson à multi-bras et un système de freinage à disques ventilés avec ABS sont également de série sur ce modèle. Sa consommation mixte est de 8,7 L/100 km et son poids à vide de 3174 lbs, avec un rapport poids/puissance de 3,4 kg/ch. La Porsche 991.2 Carrera S se situe dans la fourchette haute des prix, tout passionné devant débourser 92 999 $ pour repartir avec l’une de ces beautés.
