El Subaru BRZ Mk2 es la segunda generación del popular coupé deportivo de tracción trasera de Subaru, presentado en 2022. Desarrollado en colaboración con Toyota, el BRZ Mk2 comparte plataforma con el Toyota GR86 pero conserva los toques únicos de ingeniería de Subaru. El nuevo BRZ está impulsado por un motor bóxer de cuatro cilindros opuestos atmosférico de 2.4L que entrega 228 hp y 184 lb-ft de torque, una mejora sustancial respecto al motor 2.0L de la generación anterior, respondiendo a críticas previas sobre la falta de torque a bajas revoluciones.
El BRZ Mk2 cuenta con un chasis ligero y rígido con un centro de gravedad bajo, gracias al motor bóxer y al uso estratégico de acero de alta resistencia. El coche está disponible con transmisión manual de 6 velocidades o automática de 6 velocidades. Su suspensión ha sido afinada para lograr un equilibrio y una respuesta óptimos, haciendo que sea muy disfrutable en carreteras sinuosas y en pista. La nueva plataforma también ofrece una dinámica de manejo y estabilidad mejoradas, basándose en la reputación de la primera generación por su manejo ágil y predecible.
El BRZ Mk2 presenta un exterior rediseñado con un perfil más aerodinámico y estilizado, incluyendo faros LED, una parrilla más ancha y líneas agresivas en la carrocería. En el interior, la cabina cuenta con materiales mejorados, un cuadro de instrumentos digital, un sistema de infoentretenimiento con pantalla táctil de 8 pulgadas compatible con Apple CarPlay y Android Auto, y asientos deportivos de gran soporte. Subaru mantuvo el diseño minimalista y enfocado en el conductor, mejorando el confort sin aumentar las distracciones.
El BRZ Mk2 ha sido bien recibido por su potencia mejorada, manejo refinado y la sensación clásica de un coupé deportivo, ofreciendo una experiencia accesible y emocionante para los entusiastas de la conducción.
