The Scion FR-S is a coupe sports car resulting from the collaboration between the Japanese brands Toyota and Subaru at their joint manufacturing plant of Ota, Gunma, Japan. The 2011 New York International Auto Show was the first public appearance of the Scion FR-S, which entered mass production from 2012 to 2016. This two-door mini-compact roadster features a 2.0L H-4 DOHC D-4S injection engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. Its sport-tuned suspension is strut-type at the front and double-wishbone on the rear. It has a 4-wheel disc brake type for 215/45WR17 Tires.
The $27,490 price tag of the Scion FR-S made it one of the most affordable sports cars in 2012. FR-S stands for Front-engine, Rear-wheel drive, Sport. The top speed of the car is 136 mph (220 km/h), and it is capable of running from 0-60 mph in 6 seconds. Another aspect worth mentioning is the environmental-friendly fuel consumption of the Scion FR-S, with a 9.6L/100Km mileage, an impressive number for a sports car. These factors align to make the FR-S one of those cars you can drive under the speed limit while still feeling the thrill of a track day.
