El Ford Mustang GT S197 es un pony car perteneciente a la quinta generación de Mustangs, producido entre 2005 y 2014, en la planta de ensamblaje de Ford en Flat Rock, Michigan. Diseñado por Sid Ramnarace, este coupé de dos puertas (plataforma D2C) incluye un motor V8 4.6L DOHC de 3 válvulas con un diseño de un solo árbol de levas, una potencia máxima de 300 hp y un torque de 390 LB.FT en el modelo GT. El coche acelera de 0 a 62 mph en 4.2 segundos con una velocidad máxima de 142 mph (230 km/h). Cuenta con una caja de cambios manual de 5 velocidades en una configuración de tracción trasera (RWD).
El Ford Mustang GT S197 evoca las primeras épocas de los Mustangs, con su aspecto retrofuturista y varios detalles exteriores que resultan agradables a la vista. El S197 pisa el asfalto con neumáticos Pirelli P-Zero Nero 235/50/19 tanto en el eje delantero como en el trasero, utilizando un sistema de frenos de discos ventilados con ABS para mejorar la seguridad y fiabilidad. Con suspensión tipo MacPherson en el frente y un eje rígido sólido en la parte trasera, el peso se mantiene alrededor de 3,450 lbs.
