La Nissan 370Z Nismo représente le summum de la performance de la gamme Z, faisant ses débuts au Salon de l'Auto de New York en 2009 en tant qu'évolution orientée piste de la 370Z standard. Propulsée par le vénérable V6 VQ37VHR de 3,7 litres développant 350 chevaux et 276 lb-pi de couple, la version Nismo se distingue par des améliorations aérodynamiques complètes, une suspension sport réglée, et un style agressif rendant hommage à l'héritage sportif de Nissan.
Du point de vue des performances, la 370Z Nismo abat le 0 à 60 mph en 5,4 secondes et atteint une vitesse maximale de 179 mph. La boîte manuelle 6 vitesses offre une réponse directe sur la transmission aux roues arrière, tandis que les sièges sport Recaro et le système d’échappement Nismo amplifient connexion au pilote et retour sonore. Le pack aérodynamique comprend un aileron avant fonctionnel, un spoiler arrière et des jupes latérales générant une charge significative à haute vitesse sur circuit.
Au cours de sa production de 2009 à 2020, la 370Z Nismo a bénéficié de plusieurs évolutions. Le millésime 2014 a apporté un restylage notable avec une carrosserie plus agressive et un refroidissement optimisé. En 2015, l’esthétique a été affinée avec l’introduction de feux diurnes à LED et des pare-chocs revisités. En 2017, Nissan a offert de nouvelles teintes ainsi qu’une boîte automatique 7 vitesses en option pour élargir son attrait. La 370Z Nismo est restée au catalogue jusqu’en 2020, incarnant la dernière évolution de la plateforme Z34 avant l’arrivée de la toute nouvelle Z.
