La Nissan 370Z Nismo rappresenta l'apice delle prestazioni delle auto Z, debuttando al Salone dell'Auto di New York del 2009 come un'evoluzione incentrata sulla pista della 370Z standard. Alimentata dal venerabile motore V6 VQ37VHR da 3,7 litri che produce 350 cavalli e 276 lb-ft di coppia, la variante Nismo si distingue attraverso miglioramenti aerodinamici completi, sospensioni sintonizzate per lo sport e uno stile aggressivo che rende omaggio all'eredità racing di Nissan.
Dal punto di vista delle prestazioni, la 370Z Nismo raggiunge 0-60 mph in 5,4 secondi e raggiunge una velocità massima di 179 mph. Il cambio manuale a 6 marce offre un coinvolgimento diretto con la piattaforma a trazione posteriore, mentre i sedili sportivi Recaro e un sistema di scarico sintonizzato da Nismo migliorano sia la connessione del pilota che il feedback uditivo. Il pacchetto aerodinamico include uno spoiler anteriore funzionale, un'ala posteriore e minigonne laterali che generano deportanza significativa alle velocità di pista.
Durante la sua produzione dal 2009 al 2020, la 370Z Nismo ha ricevuto diversi aggiornamenti. L'anno modello 2014 ha portato un aggiornamento significativo con carrozzeria più aggressiva e raffreddamento migliorato. Il 2015 ha introdotto un'estetica raffinata con luci diurne a LED e paraurti aggiornati. Entro il 2017, Nissan ha aggiunto nuove opzioni di colore e un cambio automatico a 7 rapporti opzionale per ampliare l'appeal. La 370Z Nismo è rimasta in produzione fino al 2020, rappresentando l'evoluzione finale della piattaforma Z34 prima dell'arrivo della nuova Z.
