The Mazda MX-5 Miata NB belongs to the second generation of Mazda MX-5, manufactured from 1998 until 2005 in the Mazda Assembly plant in Hiroshima (Japan). This particular model of the MX-5 continued to be a lightweight, front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive roadster, and even though it lacks the stylish retractable headlamps of its predecessor, the NB is also the only Miata model coming with a factory-built turbocharger. It is a two-passenger, two-door sports car with a four (automatic) to six-speed (manual) transmission and a much-improved brake system, tires, and wheels, which makes it a great deal if you’re an enthusiast. The MX-5 Miata comes with 195/50 tires on 15-inch rims both front and back in the sports model and a braking system including vented discs in the front and back wheels.
With a 1.6 inline-4 gasoline engine with a 97.5 cubic inches (1597 cm3) capacity under the hood, the top speed for the Mazda MX-5 Miata is around 119 mph (191 km/h). The 1.8 L engine model can reach up to 100 km/h (62mph) in 7.8 seconds with a top speed of around 130mph (210 km/h). Driving the Mazda MX-5 Miata NB makes you experience a great feeling, with its powerful, refined, and reliable design, all wrapped up in an affordable package.
