Es ist ein Sportwagen, der das Chassis, die Aufhängung, Reifen und Räder des Z06-Modells erbt. Die Chevrolet Corvette C7 Grand Sport fährt mit einem saugbetriebenen LT1 6,2-Liter-V8 VVT-Motor mit aktiver Kraftstoffeinspritzung, der 460 PS und 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) Drehmoment liefert. Sie umfasst ein 7-Gang-Schaltgetriebe oder ein 8-Gang-Automatikgetriebe. Die maximal aufgezeichnete Geschwindigkeit beträgt 291 km/h (181 mph), und die Beschleunigungszeit von 0 auf 100 km/h beträgt nur 3,6 Sekunden.
Das Keramikmatrix-Bremssystem der Chevrolet Corvette C7 Grand Sport ist herausragend, da es diesen 1.571 kg (3.464 lb) schweren Roadster von 100 km/h auf null in nur 27 Metern vollständig stoppt. Enthaltene Reifen sind Michelin Pilot Sports Cup 2 285/30 ZR19 vorne und 335/25 ZR20 hinten, zusammenarbeitend mit Z06-Performance-Aufhängungskomponenten.
